Tokamak In the middle of the jungle, in a pit, a deep hole, Grass and moss along the walls of the rocky bowl, fighting, spread, and fungal. Sun at 11’oclock casting at an angle And stretching the rays to the bottom as a golden chord. A naked skeleton, fully intact except for a crack in the skull And a foot in a cast, Untouched and uncovered, except for the grass below. Chest to the sky and sprawled out as if laying in a meadow, reflecting the glow. Single cylinder engine sintered into his chest, It’s spark plug under bio hazardous affect, From the breath of plants and the lithium in his bony hands, Overheating from the severe lack of sweat glands and fleshed out plans. Ah, the dreams to discover an untouched land. That’s best left to the birds who sacrifice their vices, To the gears churning fires just below the rib cage. Fried or toasted inner bark, no longer the moss on a plate, A whole book rather than page after page. Sometimes the rattle, wheeze, and heat Are quenched by the rain from the canopy, And droplets play the hollow armature piano Soothing the mycelium, the harness to the brain. As vines take on as veins tangled and twisted in vain, White supplejack with a red hat protecting the LANs from attacks, Jumbled packets and a hacked branch sticking out of the calf bone. The strings are not worn, just toned. One day, the wrasse will find ways to eat off the rust, The bats will return as friends and not an effigy to be burned, Microbes brawl and thrive in a Jerry can, And the DNA is merged with sand.

Quelling the years with bed bugs, bad bowels, and bags of beers. Still hears the jeers from distant panoramic cheers, Only waiting for the day he can finally see her. It's whimsy meets whamality, eclipse in it's totality, Shaving off the burrs in a violent self formality. Checking off the launder list of lies to meet banality Finally admitting to the difference in our tapestries. And the little itty kid's still clutching the barbed effigy, Lambasting the oyster's pearl from inside a pigeon pea. Somehow managed to throw away the only lock and its given key, Forced to post a bounty without giving out a finders fee. Please. I only ask nicely, With grit in my teeth and have an acquiesce for local creeds. To keep my mouth full of what seems like the taste of tweed, But I really only need a layer of lycra and microfleece. Wearing the thorny parka against the harbors swell, Gas mask, compass, and map amongst the clang of bells, Core of the sun in my pocket, and Blast door controls locked in a locket. Bridge troll at the atoll giving me a riddle: Where's the deepest hole you couldn't possibly plummet into? Two options from the menu after paying the toll: Chew away at the coral, or be a morsel served with edible gold.
