In The Lord of the Rings, Palantiri were jewels corrupted by Sauron and used to watch and corrupt foes of Mordor. Most famously Denethor and Saruman. Leaders of the opposition. That’s a dumbed down version, to a degree, but the gist is there. And these bozos called their company that.

Spoke about this before. Trump’s SCOTUS shield was (is?) ironclad. They would have found a way to get to Election Day 2024 without a ruling. Remember, Trump was indicted on 4 separate occasions for a litany of felony charges and convicted of 31 of them and it didn’t move the needle. Priors unchanged

It’s both at this point. It used to be the latter, but the tail caught the dog, or the feedback loop reached its natural conclusion, or whatever. So they are both stupid and think we are.
