That’s true, from the glimpses of demon upbringing we get, they certainly seem very human. Honestly though I don’t think we will ever get an answer for the demon’s motivations until we actually meet the demon king.

Good vid, Frieren is my favourite anime, but you make great points.
I think part of the reason why demons are so irredeemable is because of how the magic system works. Magic only does what the casters can accurately visualize. Frieren and much of the cast only believe they can be evil.
