Interested in all birds, beasts + fishes. Birding ex-wildfowler - opposed to all wildlife crime. #nocmig and #BWPUC dabbler. Home is Bedfordshire, but family in Scotland and USA, so I bird a bit there too. Not interested in any politics.
Ok, thank you. Heading for a look now.

Hi Ian - are you there now + can you see it? Thank you!

A bit of a minimalist design for an art workshop notice 🙂

I'm sure I saw about 5 together at a country park in Glasgow a few years ago, and also a "pair" at Abberton this year. I'm sure this (+ a couple of others) now means I've seen more of these in UK than R-n Duck.

The app is very good Jonny - reliably IDs pretty much anything in nature (plants, trees, insects, animals, birds etc).

The ObsIdentify app says 100% Noctule Jonny. We've had a few around here recently + a Peregrine hunting them!

Thank you Jon. I prefer shots nowadays that show the wider habitat if possible, rather than just close crops.

I deleted the whole thing, despite having a fairly "healthy" account for years - don't miss it at all.

Technically, anywhere I bird, as eBird filters to county level for you. However, I'm mainly interested in 3 - Beds, W. Lothian (Scotland) + a county I visit in USA. Lincs, Cambs and Northumberland on the side, as I've seen a few things whilst living, visiting + traveling through them. Not a nerd! 🙂

I reckon this easily fits in the top 10 of weird stuff you've posted! 🫨

Thank you Bradley + hope it does OK, as all "your" Cuckoos (Yellow-billed/Black-billed) that end up here usually perish within a few days 🤞

Juvenile, so on 1st migration; an amazing record!

Not a single winter thrush seen all day here in Beds Ian + only 4 Redwing calls in 11hrs nocmig recording last night.

Agreed Darren, but that looks like it's fairly old, so perhaps from previous times - hope so 🤞

Thank you for the reply Ian, and yes, I suppose it has been mild enough to kid it into thinking it's found a good spot for the winter.
