Arcane is a retcon of large parts of the League universe, by necessity. Or it SHOULD be. But Riot's track record on implementing that sort of thing is......... not great, if I'm being generous.
I’m not even sure it’s possible for this to be canon. So many characters have arcs completely incompatible with the world of the core universe.
