Out of fear and self-interest, the EU is not reacting as it did when Russia invaded Ukraine. The EU must become independent from the US. If not, it will open doors for a continuing US interference in EU public policy and elections.

The US government must respect the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty and self-determination of peoples. By violating the UN Charter and international law, the US puts the entire international legal system is at risk.

Boluarte is not only betraying the memory of the victims: she is jeopardizing Peru's commitment to human rights.

⚠️After accusing IACHR of “interference” Boluarte announced a plan to withdraw Peru from the IACHR > a serious threat to justice, the Constitution & international treaties Peru signed.

This modification means that all the victims of the armed conflict, victims of the protests of 2020, 2022 and 2023, harassed journalists, assassinated indigenous leaders or environmental defenders will be left without defense.
