Wow, that’s a burden. I went on disability in 2014 but am on standard SS and Medicare now. Mine was totally physical from which I’ve mostly recovered with proper treatment. I totally get your need to reduce the kitties to two. I’m down to 5 from 8 as the elderly pass. It will be 2 eventually.

Ahh! That stuff is really expensive. And it doesn’t work in the Litter Robot. Maybe in one of the other automatic ones it would work. I know this is prying, but my first thought was if you’re going to recover your health within the next year, do you really want to rehome the cats.

I use garbage bags. Since you never empty the entire litter box throwing out the good with the bad, it saves litter. But it may still be more expensive if you aren’t already using a good clumping litter.

I have a Litter Robot and it costs a small fortune now, but there are lots of much more affordable ones on the market, and possibly better designed at this point. They do require some maintenance as parts wear out, but for daily litter scooping, I wouldn’t be without.

If it’s primarily physical and you can afford it, an automatic litter box can dramatically reduce the amount of work required for 5 cats (same number I have). I’ve also had to do a cull. It pained me, but I chose the youngest and most attractive to be rehoused. I kept the eldest I’d had as babies.

That “order” post was cute and funny. It’s a shame you didn’t leave the post and block the people being ugly, who were totally out of line.

They don’t represent Christ, so they can’t make Christ repugnant, only themselves.

Those are the kinds of symptoms I had after a traumatic brain injury in a car accident. It took a few years, but I did eventually recover. I sincerely hope that you and all the others with covid damage recover as well. To suddenly not recognize where you are is downright scary.

Wow!!

Gotcha! I’ll keep pondering it.

This is an oddball thought, and maybe you would consider it a violation. I don’t think AI is involved in using filters on photographs that give various types of “illustration”-like renderings. If I can remember how I used to do that, I’d be more than happy to help.

What a great picture! And even though I’ve never been a fan of collars, the gold pendulum makes him/her all the more stunning!

Mine too. Watched it again earlier this year. Enjoy!!

Many years ago, Andrew Sullivan, of all people, distinguished those who follow Christ as Christians and those who do not emulate Christ but claim that mantle as Christianists. I’ve found it a very useful distinction and have long resented the Christianists for their defiling of Christianity.

At least you weren’t asleep, which is how it goes with my husband.
