Have you read Sy Montgomery’s memoir, How to Be a Good Creature? She writes so beautifully about animal relationships. Though her closest friendships have been with dogs and a pig.

This happened to me at the park except I let my kid go in the sandpit and my friend was NOT letting her kids. Awkward!! And unhappy kids.
