It's a pretty awful, insanely racist book from the 1920s with a Mary Sue heroine but this one line from 'Her Father's Daughter' by Gene Stratton Porter sent me into hysterics:
"She had been initiated into the thrillingly absorbing feminine accomplishment of making sport handkerchiefs."

First year in Canada we were clueless about H'ween and woefully unprepared for the candy seeking hordes. I hand it out lavishly now, 30 years later, but feel we are still known as that place where we got mini boxes of raisins (we panicked when we ran out of sweets).

I am still watching Yu-Gi-Oh with the kids and am now on 5D's, season 2. Yusei looks so damn pretty suffering.
I keep making wild assumptions that sometimes leave me looking brilliant and sometimes the opposite. Having so much fun dueling too. AND writing fic!

Reno hit a bump; Moen bath fixtures in brushed nickel box has black finish faucet inside. No. Rest of bathroom nickel and we live in an area where the water is so hard you hammer chunks out of the tap. The limescale marks on it would appear instantly.

Hosting Thanksgiving on Sunday and decided to do chocolate and cinder toffee cake. Just made my own cinder toffee! It's the inside of a Crunchie bar basically. Very quick and easy.
