This is the Sabal shawl, an experiment to explore a short-rowed lace edging on a triangular shawl with a leaf inset on the corner.

Close up image of the corner of the Sabal shawl. The striking lace motif, highlighted in the corner of this shawl, reminded me of the crown of a palm tree. So, I named this shawl Sabal. Short rows on the shorter side of the triangle slowly build the lace up to the flowers (the tips of the scalloped edge) by the time they reach the palm motif.
