A holiday gift for you
While I am mulling over my third review of novels about alien communication, I have realized today is the start of a festive season. Looks like a lot of shoppers succumbed to the Black Friday beast. Oh, well. I couldn’t physically get to my indie bookstore so I used Bookshop.org. Got free shipping when I bought toys directly from Lego, which seems like an ethical co. Not perfect but i tried to avoid the big box bad actors.
Bookshop.org: Buy books online. Support local bookstores.
A better way to buy books online. Every purchase financially supports local independent bookstores.

Wild turkeys in the Twin Cities: These aren't Thanksgiving birds
In the 1970s, the DNR released wild turkeys in southeastern Minnesota to help the bird population rebound. Over time, those turkeys found their way to town.
