Hi Ian, do we have any understanding of current rates of viruses (Southern hemisphere) not normally monitored ie outside influenza covid RSV? I've been seeing an overwhelmingly large number of sick folk recently. I generally dont send them for PCR testing unless a specific risk factor.

Australia didn't get the measles vaccine till the late 1960s.
Most will have had measles if unvaccinated. The "most" rather than "all" wories me a little though unless a documented history of measles or serology www.health.vic.gov.au/immunisation...

Re this image - I'd assume hand foot and mouth disease. Doesn't look like typical rubella.
Shouldn't we use such images as an adjunct to public health messaging?
