🔎 3 Tips to Avoid Author Scams:
1️⃣ Never pay for reviews — Legitimate reviews from readers, bloggers, or trade publications are never "guaranteed" or sold.
2️⃣ Be wary of agents who charge upfront fees — Real agents get paid when you get paid.
3️⃣ Research before you sign — Always Google the name + “scam” or check trusted resources.

Morningtime

On staggering towards the midnight bells,
that simple, convoluted shade of man
may dwindle, then dissolve within his mind.

Too busy for display, more bitter still,
a prisoner to everything that was,
the flickers from the present fade unseen.

Forgetting to unclench one cramping fist,
he wanders back to cloudy, sunny days
of kites aloft and Rubicons uncrossed.

His morningtime, before the lights went out,
where never came a pause for second thought,
he might have been a person they could love.

Now

Freed from the hurricanes
of past failures
blasting me backwards then,
my leaves coalesce in the present,
wishing no longer to be distracted
by lovelorn prose.

Gliding across the threshold
minus a caution,
missing all care,
believing which fate awaits me there
is unsealed,
I can but smile,

because when the future comes,
it will be altered,
because on this day,
I delivered myself
to now.
