I am touched that poet Joseph Green saw my exhibit at Forsberg Gallery and was compelled to leave me a beautifully printed copy of his poem “Come Again.” The poem from his book “What Water Does at a Time Like This” is printed on map. I will have to frame this one! #somewhereelseseries

So many artists have been affected by the fires in Los Angeles, myself included. Hopefully Mother Nature will be kind and we will have a break in the storm so we can gather for the opening reception. Big thanks to @hammer_museum curator Aram Moshayedi for spearheading this personal curation project.

If you are in the PNW go see my exhibit “Somewhere Else” at Forsberg Art Gallery. The show opens February 18. I will be there for a closing reception on March 13, 4-6pm. The series speaks to nostalgic memories of home - a timely topic as I my neighbors have been displaced due to the Altadena fire.

The I-5 Gallery @breweryartlosangeles is a non profit space that supports @breweryartlosangeles. I have been in post fire mode for the last 2-½ weeks - and really do need to push myself to do something normal. Please join me for the opening of this show which features photographers from the Brewery.

After the Altadena fire it’s very weird to do anything from regular life - but a contract is a contract and the show must go on. Fortunately I was able to get the work packed and ready for my solo show at the Forsberg Gallery at Lower Columbia College #somewhereelseseries #altadenaartist

Making papier mache props again. I love the simplicity of the material. The monotony of the work is the perfect way to get out of my head and let my thoughts wander. I start not fully knowing what these will become - but ideas start flowing while I work. #workinprogress #laartist #conceptualphotoart

My reading material for today. Thanks to Elizabeth Avedon for reminding me about this book - and of course to Mary Virginia Swanson and her co-author Darius Hines for compiling and updating this useful guide. #fineartphoto #publishyourphotographybook #fineartphotobook

After a workshop with incredible book editor Elizabeth Avedon I figured out how to combine several projects into one cohesive book. It is exciting to see it come closer to realization. If you are interested in buying a copy feel free to pm me so I can add you to the list. #fineartphoto #photobook

I know what’ll make me feel better, coffee and a visit with the horses. 🎠💜

Mēness feels like my current favorite, this is a great row together with Hrímfaxi. Privileged to have the hair/body on these painted by @elakdawalla.bsky.social and @janeszabophoto.bsky.social!

A good set of brushes is like an old friend. It really hurts when you lose them! I misplaced these in the house and was so relieved to find them buried under a stack of photo papers and projects! #laartist #mixedmediaartist #scenicpainter #toolsofthetrade #makeartwilltravel

My first post here and I am sharing nature. Because the rest of the world seems fraught right now and my true happy place is with the wild things. Peace to all. We will get through this.
