When you see two names on an obituary that often means that the original writer predeceased the subject. That’s why Keepnews is on Alan Arkin’s. The first draft came from Bob Berkvist, who died early in 2023 after 40 years at the NYT. I did know and work for Bob at A & L. Really decent guy.
