Also: by holding out until open enrollment the Dems showed the country how devastating “the big fucking bill” is for average Americans. It was empathetic Dems who understood the pain of the shutdown. The GOP has no empathy. Take heart. Blue wave in 2026. Blue tsunami in ‘28 and the END of Trumpism.

Here’s the thing: the GOP don’t care if folks go hungry or have healthcare. They weren’t going to budge. It was time to open. My daughter in IL scraped together 3K so she and her two kids could fly to CA for Thanksgiving. I don’t want them to get their flight cancelled or die in a plane crash.

The state of our country reminds me of France in 1789, just before heads started to roll. Literally. No, Marie Antoinette probably never said, “Let them eat cake,” but we get what it means. Trump never went hungry. He has no empathy for those that do.

When insurrectionists were destroying our capitol and threatening to kill our Congress members, the POTUS watched TV while Nancy Pelosi was down in the bunkers trying to find a way for our country to survive the attack. She is my hero and I’m proud of her for having the wisdom to step aside at 85.

Trump is always trying to pull off the emperor with new clothes. It’s not a pretty sight. Who are these people who continue to believe his lies? Some of them are going hungry, I bet, and just can’t figure out why.

It’s interesting to me that Trump doesn’t think the government shutdown is any of his business. He’s got a ballroom to build, parties to attend, golf games to play, and the Affordable Care Act to debunk when he has NEVER done anything on healthcare and just pretend s he has.

Yes! The Senate must stop this foolish POTUS from going to war with Venezuela! We don’t need another war. We need healthcare, a stop to inflation, and air traffic controllers. We don’t need an obscene golden ballroom, but it’s a hell of a lot better than a war with a southern neighbor.

What is he talking about? Think how embarrassing it would be to be a Trump supporter right now. Does any GOP lawmaker have a brain in their head or a spine in their back? If so, then use it. Compromise on healthcare and open the government. Their constituents might even let them keep their seats.

I keep expecting a major airline collision because of the lack of air traffic controllers. This country is going to hell in a hand basket and all the GOP can think of is holding out for tax breaks for the top 1%.

There is no Republican plan for healthcare, there never has been; they don’t even try to work on it. Remember the 2015 campaign cry, “Repeal and replace”? Trump was asked what plan and replied, I don’t know but it’s going to be great. All the suckers yelled Yay! Thank God for John McCain, RIP.
