CANDLE Wonder is a beautiful thing. When I took this photo in 2015 I was still falling in love with my new city. I did not know what the plant was, or that I would actually buy a home only a half-block away. Whether I choose to change or change is thrust upon me, I find myself wandering and wondering about what my life holds for me next. When change brings loss, I have learned to stay with my grief process long enough for it to mingle with my sense of awe. In that way I access my creativity and find healthy transformation in my own life and culture. It is my most keenly perceived connection with what I think of as God energy. This is one of those times, on both a personal level and on a cultural one. I am preparing to let go of trivial concerns so I can better grasp the grander yet subtle opportunities.
