US is waking up to something they never thought was even remotely possible - becoming russia-like autocratic shithole. They are not there yet and they may feel all of this is still reversible, however they have passed the "event horizon" already. Trump has realized nobody can enforce him to stop.

USA and Europe rifting (regardless if it was violent or otherwise) would be putin's dream come through. He would reward his minion Trump generously for succeeding the mission.

It would definitely be the end of NATO and many other alliance too. It would be total change of current world order.

Meanwhile all the European UNSC members are trying to match themselves with the wallpaper, wishing nobody would notice they're present and would not ask any comments or statements.

This was apparently "hidden" weakness in their political system all along, but nobody ever thought to take advantage of it. Democrats may complain all they want, but if jugdes don't judge and Congress can't enforce then it's lost country already.

Thank goodness most Canadians are educated (and/or informed) enough that movements similar to #MAGA (I guess you'd call it MCGA) can not grow large enough. US id already lost case.

That is a valid concern, but I have somewhat more trust in European voters' education and judgement after they've seen first hand how #MAGA and rightwing nutties are capable of demolishing democracy in the US.

What's the point of #UNSC? Three of its permanent members are world class assholes, of which two are openly attacking other countries (third one has also high aspirations to do so) and violating international laws. On top of all they have veto over any UNSC resolution proposals.

Counting in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and UK for sure. Also very likely Bulgaria, Romania, Germany, France, Netherlands and Czechia. Not sure about the rest. Just hoping 🤞🏻😬

For sure we cannot count to US support if russia attacks (any) NATO country. I still want to believe we Europeans will support each others.

Indeed these folks are ruthless. Anything for power for themselves. All human principles out the window if their money and power is on the other side of the equation. Heck, some of them prolly do that just for fun too.
