I suppose if you don‘t believe Earth is capable of changing, don’t care about anything but profit, and aren‘t curious enough to ask why there‘s more storms, it actually wouldn’t make sense to have scientists studying the ocean and predicting impacts on weather, our crops, and life as we know it.

The quality of the reporting on this has been disappointing, to say the least, with only the most basic understanding of what the National Archives does.

Grr! Making a list of who I can call in Washington to express concerns and verified that Iowa doesn‘t have a single representative or senator that will pass along my concerns over recent events. Most won‘t even accept emails if you are not a constituent.

My mother was born this day in 1915 in Northern California near Oregon. When she was 19, she launched her career as a teacher by taking a job on the Klamath Indian Reservation where she boarded. She was quite close to her students and their families and was often invited to their homes.
