Also, try to make the meat portion somewhat ahead of time, then let it cool completely. Otherwise, it messes up the potatoes. I put mine in the fridge for a couple of hours. And rough up the top of the potatoes a little bit with a fork before baking, so that you get a little crustiness on the top.

Make sure to add a tablespoon or two (depending on how much you're making of wash-your-sister sauce. You need some umami in there.

Good question. They were heading down that road when they named a MAGA idiot to head up BLS. That didn't fly, so they have a new, presumably better person in there now, and an army of dedicated civil servants doing the grunt work. Very hard to cheat "bigly" in that environment.

Lots of the R election TV ads promote stopping the "Islamification" of Texas. I wonder just how many fence-sitters that's going to sway. Not many, I would bet.

Uhhhh....where exactly did he set foot on the American Continent?

Now that's funny.

You know, I keep wondering why they don't show us all the video I know they must have of the violent monsters attacking DHS agents.
February 2, 2026 at 12:01 AM
Where's the video?

Tell us about the whole dish. Looks interesting!

It was hard not to call that one (18) for the D team, since both candidates in the runoff were Democrats.

He would look a lot less silly if he just shaved his head.

This probably says a lot about the role they'll have at the Summer Olympics.

It's not as though the guardrails aren't there, it's just that some idiot driver has gone off the road and run over the guardrails so they're not serving any purpose any more.

Hard to imagine that with all the aspirin he takes. It's the one thing he probably doesn't have to worry about.

I saw a write up about it a while ago and thought it sounded good. Gave it a try. I really like goopy casserole type stuff, so I expected to like it, but I was underwhelmed. To each his own!

FB post yesterday from my cousin who's lived in 'Japan for years. Happy shopping!

"Coldest morning this winter. 4.9°C (40.8°F) in my bedroom when I got up. Outside it is 0°C. Not that cold for Ohio, but for a house with no central (or similar system) or insulation to speak of it is rather chilly!"

But there are marble armrests....!?

I don't think so. He's saving that for Greenland

I have my own Hattie Mae who comes to visit me in the middle of the night almost every night.

I would wager Trump hasn't read it either.

It's not labeled as "hourly-paid" Hourly wages can include salaries people with wages converted to hourly.
December 4, 2025 at 11:35 PM
I don't see that on the graph. What I'm looking at just says non-supervisory. Where are you seeing hourly paid?
December 4, 2025 at 4:47 PM
It depends. They do it with and without salaried workers. The one that doesn't include salaried is labeled as hourly-paid workers.
December 4, 2025 at 3:45 PM
I don't know how these stats are being calculated, but if what we're seeing is movement in average wages, then a top weighted distribution could mean the top earners are getting richer, but (more numerous) bottom earners aren't, Can't tell from what we have here.
