The numbers I can find seem to be not as specific as US reporting. This uk site claims 25 crimes of violence and sexual assault per 1000 in London, that's definitely US level.

While London sure is much safer in regards to homicide, the overall numbers (100 crimes per 1000 inhabitants per year) seem to be on par with American cities.
