Finally, #vegan meringue from aqua faba, so without the suffering and blood of chicken on our hands.

The big one didn't succeed yet but the smaller ones are perfect!

The best result until now was created using a cast iron pan on the not-so-hot side of a stove.

Still liquid aqua faba in a steel bowl being whipped with a bright red hand mixer. Steel bowl now half filled with nice, fluffy, whipped creamy substance, obviously holding some of its shape. Square-ish airfryer container in airfryer basked, almost filled with seemingly nicely risen, baked aqua faba cream. A hand holding a cookie-sized meringue, minus one bite. The meringue is in focus, the hand somewhat less, the background wooden table is out of focus.

Note that at the #fosdem fringe event #Guix Days, a beautiful full vegan lunch was served.

It would make sense to me for #food to be plant-based at #fosdem . Maybe next year?

(Hoping the fries were vegan, in Belgium fries often aren't even vegetarian, and only #vegans seem to know this.)

On the plus side, statistics on vegan burgers were not bad though. WDYT?

Tonight: A divine risotto with mushrooms and porcini, red and sweet onion, lots of garlic, fresh hot red pepper, black pepper, dill, a beautiful olive oil, and about an hour of cooking love. Without the traditional animal cruelty though, of course.

GNU Guix/Hurd now runs on my x60 (32bit) with full disk support (rumpdisk) and networking support (netdde).

If you run "guix pull" today, you get a package graph of more than 22,000 nodes rooted in a 357-byte program---something that had never been achieved, to our knowledge, since the birth of Unix: a Full-Source Bootstrap.
