But then again, this Spit is supposed to have just unpainted bottom, which is almuminium (i think). If i wasn't afraid I ruin it more, I could try approach car builders do for super shine. Tamiya polishing compounds and maybe even wax. But even without that the small rivets are already vanishing...

Just fyi. Here is black primer, gloss varnish, which I polished with 3000 grit sponge and then AK's silver in many layers in one session (it dries fast). Then one more layer of gloss varnish. I wonder if paints like "polished aluminium" would look more mirrory...

Other tips how to salvage this are welcome. I think something will be saved/covered by washes

Yes, I know, I'm czech. And Samospád means gravity dispensing... from any table top sud, not only stichfass. Andreas asked what do we call stichfass and all im saying samospád is not translation of stichfass, but the way beer is dispensed from stichfass. It's probably not important. Sorry
