Nothing new to say today so I'll just post these two photos that were pinned on my bird site profile. I captured an amazing green flash from the clifftops just outside Port Isaac, UK back in the summer of 2022. Beautiful area. Love to get back there sometime!
I don’t know if it’s the mystery that still lingers behind her sudden sinking, the haunting song that Lightfoot wrote, or the fact that she was so close to a safe harbor, but the Edmund Fitzgerald’s loss still effects a lot of people even 50 years on. Rest in peace.

Just saw this little guy outside our front door. Folklore says wooly bear caterpillar bands forecast the coming winter. More brown=milder. More black=harsher cold.

I know governments can be a bit incompetent now and then, but this just boggles my mind. I've never designed a system that wasn't, at the very least, backed up off-site. How did no one look at this setup & raise their hand?

PSA to fellow GenXer’s who got their MMR doses way back when. The early measles vaxx may not confer lasting, lifelong immunity! Had a physical & asked my doc about the recent outbreaks & she suggested a titer test as part of my bloodwork. Looks like I’m heading for a booster shot today! Vaxx up! 💉👍

This is Ando. He's been a high-risk explosives detection dog for 6 years, and last week he celebrated his final day on the job. His coworkers threw him a surprise retirement party by showering him with dummies, a special reward that detection dogs are trained to love. 14/10 congratulations Ando
