I think there are many folks that have been burned by unilateral changes to how things work in trump 2.0. I wouldn’t be surprised by the administration instructing the irs to disallow the credit when folks file in 2026.

I remember seeing this on tv back in the day. I seem to remember that it had a huge cast of folks famous in the 50s and 60s. A vehicle piece… but that was a long time ago
