the place was always dirty, and clearly short-staffed. They clearly have recently weighed their options- fix the issues with our system, culture, and service OR appeal to a group of chumps who have shown they will overlook every flaw to own the libs. They made a bad bet.

They built one near us in like 2006 or so. The place was always packed, for a few years. Loved me a Frisco melt and some chili cheese fries, and we went often until maybe 5 years later. The service and presumably the back end systems all changed overnight. You would wait forever for food,

Clearly many stories across history continue to be retold, so much resonates across the years. But you have to find the new aspects that resonate today in the retelling.

I imagine this could be part of the challenge of adapting even beloved novels from 2005 - how to make sure it'll still speak to audiences that have absorbed 20 years of media inspired by that story, living in a different context than the one that produced the book.

That reminds me of the time I sat in front of my house watching a mockingbird just clown on my Merlin Bird ID app. The app was convinced that like 6 different birds were up there, taking turns.

Yeah, I'm seeing it too among some friends of mine. Personally, if they were just not kicking Nazis off actively, I'd be fine with it. What I can't support is them using a cut of the money I would conceivably pay to support an author I like to also pay a Nazi author to stay on the site.

It was a great time last night! If you guys sell pucks online I'd love to buy one- we waited in line for a while but they were sold out by the time we got to the front and one of my kids has been collecting them from the games we've attended.

I watched it for the first time in many many years this month, I had totally forgotten how little of the movie is about fighting off robbers. It was deeper than I expected.
