Yes, and there are similar gaps for smaller companies e.g. observability was a big topic at @xoruby.com in Portland - you care about the customer experience but don't have thousands a month to throw at an APM. Add sampling and risk missing the traces you care about I guess?

Not saying it will solve your problems but I’m a very happy Postmark customer for many years, they are great.

We tried Render and found at least their ruby platform to be unstable. We were parallel deploying with Heroku and the third time Render broke our app (while Heroku did not), we gave up.

Maybe dockerized would be different 🤷
