Instead of worrying about the 0.4% of Medicaid spending that goes to reimbursing hospitals for emergency medical services provided to uninsured individuals, we should focus on solving the issue of insurance by enacting universal healthcare, like the rest of the world.

Why won't Republicans be honest about the situation and be mature enough to have a public discussion about how over 90 million Americans say they can't afford quality healthcare?

Republicans are not taking their job as leaders seriously, and all of us are paying the price.

-They tried to say Democrats wanted to get rid of a $50 billion rural hospital fund, but all that did was remind everyone that Republicans cut over $150 billion in Medicaid funding for rural hospitals and then added a $50 billion fund in its place to try to act like they were trying to help.

So far, Republicans:

-Lied that Democrats want to give undocumented immigrants free healthcare.

-Proven wrong, they tried to focus on emergency care, which covers the uninsured, so that people don't bleed out or give birth in an alley. Emergency care accounts for just 0.4% of Medicaid spending.

When the government shuts down tonight, half of all government shutdowns in the last 30 years will have happened while Trump was president.

Republicans in Congress would rather make healthcare unaffordable for millions of Americans than make Trump angry by working with Democrats.

Republicans are putting more effort towards lying to the American people by claiming that while controlling the House, Senate, and White House, a government shutdown isn't their fault, than they are towards trying to prevent a shutdown.

Republicans would rather shut down the US government than ensure that US citizens can afford healthcare that is overly expensive due to Republicans refusing to enact universal healthcare like every other developed nation, so that Republicans can keep their corporate donors happy.

So the Trump administration authorized a $50,000 signing bonus and $60,000 in student loan forgiveness for joining his masked Secret Police force, which now has a budget larger than most of the world's militaries.
