that is definitely an issue with the repros, they seem to do some really weird save shenanigans. if you've ever played one you'll be familiar with the extra long save times, which leave an incredibly large window for corruption if you're not careful. pretty sure i've also had it happen randomly tho

i gave it a couple tries using rhythm heaven advance and was able to get through remix 5 no problem, though it's also worth noting that i've been playing silver for years and the only time i've ever come across this issue was with the ezflash

even my cheapy silver repro didn't do it

where are you finding that? all the listings i'm seeing are either sold out or jacked up to $70 (from the ezflash website)

they upped the price of the omega, it's $70 now

the ezflash air is cheaper (only $40!) but has a couple drawbacks, mainly games need to be written to the built-in NORFLASH to play and and it uses battery-backed SRAM for saves

and you lose remix 5 privileges

if you're willing to put up with compromises my first impression isn't too bad, clearly it isn't foolproof but unless you have a ton of games (you'll have to keep swapping them on/off the flash) it's a pretty decent solution for the price

do your own research though some things may bother you

the system is mostly working at this point except it won't turn back on for a while after shutting off (probably a consequence of bypassing the power switch)

but the more pressing matter is that it'll randomly crash during gameplay, sometimes even in the BIOS
