Ok, I’m feeling a bit salty this eve.

Top 5 comedy shows, all time:

1. The Office (US)
2. Arrested Development
3. Frasier (best writing, hands down)
4. Friends (yeah yeah yeah it was great)
5. Seinfeld

Honorable mention to Newhart

A good choice!🤷‍♂️

For me, an analogous film in my strange brain would be ‘The Descent.’ Ok, not a similar film even remotely😅, but one that has some similar dynamics and unfortunate relationship dynamics.

As for film #2, I’ll need to go with ‘The Shining,’ when I realized that maybe - just maybe😅 - I didn’t have the cinematography gift as much as some…

Ok.

A little late. Apologies

Day 1: Rear Window

Beyond the suspension-of-disbelief of Jimmy Stewart dating Grace Kelly☺️, the crafting of this film is brilliant.

Ahh the dreaded T’s. Too much from which to choose, from The Third Man, to Total Recall, to Traffic, to the Toy Story’s, so many others.

Gonna go off book and go w/ the documentary ‘Trekkies,’ which is in all ways absurd, hilarious, and heartwarming.

Tough one here. Unforgiven and Untouchables got strong consideration, but I gotta go with Usual Suspects.

Masterful from beginning to end.

Though many would think the V selection is kinda slim, I actually looove the V’s, from V for Vendetta to Vanilla Sky to Vacation to Varsity Blues

But I’m gonna go with Vertigo, possibly Hitchcock’s greatest film.

Alright been a long week. Gonna catch up backwards.

Witness

A 1985 classic w/ Harrison Ford, Kelly Mcgillis, et al about a hit that was seen by a young Amish boy.

Peter Weir (of Dead Poets Society/Truman Show fame) did such a wonderful job with this film.

Just for catchup☺️

Once Upon A Time in America.

Panned by critics at first. Originally edited by the ‘cinematographer’ who edited Robocop 2, even though it was directed by Sergio friggin Leone..

When seen in its entirety, among the greatest mob epics by in history.

Primer - an amazing mindbending piece on the intricacies of what a Time Machine could actually engender.

I realize that no one is gonna heart this skeet.

Doesn’t matter.

Greg Gumbel was an awesome man.

And a kind soul.

He died today.

I will miss hearing his wonderful voice. NCAA tournaments were better b/c of him.

Not even sure why I’m tearing up. RIP Greg.😕

For anyone who even remotely loves Michael McDonald, Christopher Cross, Toto…

PLEASE watch the ‘Yacht Rock’ documentary.

It’s a masterpiece.
