We'd like to say a very big thank you to Gareth for representing Juvenile Arthritis Research at the recent Reigate half-marathon. Gareth achieved a fantastic time at the event and there was a big shout out for Juvenile Arthritis Research as he came through the finish line.

This week Polly's dad, Shaun is taking on the challenge of running 10k in the Chase the moon run at the Olympic park. Joined by Polly's uncle, Rob, they have both smashed their fundraising goals and already raised over £1,500 between them.

Good luck to you both!

Just one week to go until our "Racing for a cure for JIA" event. We can't wait to meet everyone who has booked in. Those attending should have received emails from our volunteer Katherine confirming arrangements.
We're incredibly grateful to @NationwideUK.bsky.social - the key funder for this event

We'll be at the #RCGPAC next week in #Newport raising awareness of childhood #arthritis.
We know that delays in diagnosis are sometimes due to a lack of awareness amongst GPs of #JIA

We've been improving that with our dedicated #ThinkJIA awareness campaign and website at www.thinkjia.org

Here is 6 year old Ellie-mai receiving her Little Box of Hope pack from Juvenile Arthritis Research. We often hear from parents and carers about what a difference it makes to a child to know that they aren't alone and to learn more about their condition in a child-friendly way.

Absolutely fantastic! And super choice of song too - one of our current favourites. We're bringing together families in the UK affected by JIA in 3 weeks time for an event so hoping it will be a fantastic experience for them too.

One of the biggest sources of support for families when their child receives a diagnosis of JIA is receiving a Little Box of Hope pack that our volunteers put together and send out.
Here's 8 year old Leo receiving his box.

It's been incredible seeing so many people joining in the Juvenile Arthritis Research Bookshare initiative this summer - A way of raising awareness that children get #arthritis too whilst spreading a little joy by leaving a pre-loved book for someone to find.
