Someone once said to me they believed denial was actually one of two things: someone minimizing the problem or someone acting ambivalent about the problem. That does feel true of a lot of attitudes over the last 10 years.

Speaking of unwilling...

I didn't really dig into it much, but reading this and the mentions of Judge Cannon really made me wonder more about the logic and reasoning behind her decisions.

Yeah, I like this. I felt that kids brought about a different kind of stress that was unfamiliar and could be a bit hard to know how handle because you also had to deal with a baby at the same time. But you adapt soon.

Along those lines, one thing that strikes about several people in the current admin is an insatiable need for attention. It's so much more important than any principle and they cannot control themselves.
