i dont think klein ever thought himself as a debate bro. he def did see similarity to kirk in that they had growing influence on their respective parties politiks though and kirks assassination unnerved him in a way other political figures wouldnt have because of it.

I think failing to would cause an actual revolt in the party. His leadership is kinda centered on never putting his members in a tough spot, and him refusing to endorse will make this an unbelievably annoying issue for senate dems to deal with.

Genuine question, What position would lander gun for in a Mamdani admin? He was comptroller and anything short of deputy would probably feel like a downgrade no?

I think Mamdani win is more significant than a lot of rightleaners are giving credit for ( though less than his ardent supporters). He’s first person I’ve seen to actually activate checked out voters for dems since Obama. Every other election Tuesday night generally felt like an anti trump vote.
