Imagine a "hole" where you have to throw through a path of 20 mwith 25 cm width available to you. You can still make an argument for "git gud", but sudenly it becomes sad really fast. Challenges should be fair and reflect what you can normally see in disc golf, not some artificial untested rules

It is okay for a dgpt event, but not world championship. It's about the level of punishment for small mistakes, integrity of the rules and fairness of choosing a world champion. With Buncr rule it was better, with double stroke on OB and not being able to retrieve your disc it's just bad design

As a spectator it feels that West is still reactive (something happens and we will deal with it this way) vs JP being proactive (we want this to happen so we are going to do this and that). I think there is also some meta misunderstanding, JP with some faster style weapons is catching West off guard

1. Up the cost (or at least gray ink)
2. Lower the dmg for direct hit
3. Make it less instant, probably some startup lag frames

Of course it would be only 1 of those not all at the same time.

I certainly need to rewatch that video and I need to preface that my design goals for splatoon might be different, because I would like the game to slow down a bit and be a bit more strategic, with even some pauses and I'm nowhere near as good at splatoon as you. For burst I see 3 options:

IMO if there is a sub, that's in a dream kit for more than half of the weapons and there is not a single weapon that would be mad if it got it, I think then the level is off. Burst does too many things too well, it paints, escapes, combos for dmg and even 2 can kill. Good designs have weaknesses

It's not the curling that needs the buff, it's the other bombs that need the nerf, first significantly nerf paint or dmg on burst

The design is okay, but it's overtuned and the cooler meta has been there for a long, long time. It's time for some changes.

There is no other special that you design your comp around, the special is so strong that it's more popular to run double cooler than no cooler. It needs a nerf and preferably a bigger one.
