We (my husband and service dog are with me) have been awake since 730 this morning and just arrived in New Orleans for #INS20205 due to flight delays caused by a winter storm. I am tired but excited to see everyone, attend CE sessions, and eat 🥹. Missing our adopted son and two big boys though.

I have to finish my PhD applications tomorrow, and because I live on Minnesota’s North Shore, it’s going to be way too cold to venture out tomorrow. So we journeyed out to see the ice buildup on the lakes today! It was a beautiful off-work holiday!

School is kicking my butt, I’ve been sick with strep all week, and this guy decided to lose a corner of his ear. He is a goober.

Snow will soon be moving into the area of Minnesota that I live in (that might as well just be Canada), so we are making sure to soak up as much hiking time as possible. I might have been born a southern girl but this area has my heart!
