MCP specification, section ​3. Security and Trust & Safety:

Every security principle is OPTIONAL.

The section 3.2 Implementation Guidelines (implementation of Security and Trust & Safety!) lists 5 "security principles". All are highlighted in yellow. All 5 are listed after saying "implementers SHOULD"... There is a callout window below with my comment, "I love that the security section makes every mentioned security principle optional"
