Day 8 of the government shutdown has me writing a talking blues song about the history of my property/house. Nineteen verses on and I still haven't gotten to the 1950s scene pictured here.

Oh, all the way up THERE. Tell them you're looking for your cat.

This cat lounging on the steps to the Fantasyland Skyway Chalet in 2005 is my spirit animal.

Maybe you just don't have as much style as Robin Hood.

Hey, wanna go on the Skyway?

There are too many examples of overloaded signs, but I don't think this one with two logos and one font for the sign's content is bad.

I don't know about you, but I would prefer these GALACTIC GIFTS FROM TOMORROW.

NEW LOOK FOR HOTEL AT THE DISNEYLAND RESORT -- Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel is the new name and theme for the former Disneyland Pacific Hotel in Anaheim, California, beginning this fall. The hotel's premier location, overlooking one of the most dynamic and colorful sections of the new Disney's California Adventure theme park, Paradise Pier, makes the hotel's name and theme a natural fit. The Paradise Pier area of the new park represents the ultimate beachfront amusement zone, featuring a look back at the unique boardwalks that used to line the California coast.

Historical authenticity, of course.

New signage on Batuu West for Docking Bay 7, feels like an attempt to advertise from the main walkway. Didn't see this on East last week. #SignageSunday

I have questions... For starters, is she traveling from Disneyland to the Disneyland Hotel with a Boogie board, or is she taking it to the Park?
Disneyland Hotel advertisement in the Fall 1991 Disney News, titled "One Magical Land Leads to Another." It includes a composite photograph of a family boarding the Disneyland Monorail, with the Disneyland Hotel in the distance. One member of the family is carrying a Boogie board.

Ah, the merchandise (correctly, I would say) adds the quotation marks but retains (bad!) the exclamation point that we have determined @tomkmorris.bsky.social introduced with Marty Sklar's OK in Paris.

When will this nightmare end?!
Photograph of the entrance to the "it's a small world" queue in Fantasyland at Disneyland. The sign reads it's a small world!, with a clock and smaller signs for Lightning Lane and stand-by entrance.
