How is this different than JHS with its NOTAKLÖN

I wish they would just wake up and realize they are identified with Confederate propaganda that sought to frame the conflict as southern identity and states rights against a northern culture that can’t be trusted, when really it was about retaining slavery.

Overall, all 3 plugins provide the core controls you'd expect, with the exception of the ones noted above.

The AURA plugin doesn't support configuring Remote Templates, though this is a current feature request. I'm not sure how many people use this feature though.

Here is what the AURA Plugin doesn't do currently:

- No Input Atomizer setting (Off, On, 2, 3... 16)
- Filter Envelope --> X-Sync doesn't appear available after Osc 2 is selected as Hypersaw like it does in Virus Control plugin

The AURA plugin developer has taken note of these.

The AURA Plugin supports control of System Settings (LED mode, LED Brightness, BPM Brightness, Memory Protect toggle), Global MIDI Settings, Soft Knob Settings, Keyboard Settings, Mod-wheel/Pedal assignments, Global Input/Output settings.... all not featured in the original Virus Control plugin.
January 21, 2025 at 5:27 PM
The AURA Plugin features a Quick Edit Panel that includes an Assignable X/Y Pad not featured in the original Virus Control plugin.

It also includes a "Vocoder Modulator Input" setting not included in Virus Control plugin.

The AURA Plugin provides many more controls in Multi-part Mixer (part keyboard range, part priority, part MIDI channel, solo buttons) that the Virus Control software doesn't support.

OsTIrus does everything else you'd expect an Access Virus software synth engine to do, with features related to the hardware not considered applicable.
January 21, 2025 at 5:25 PM
OsTIrus allows you to set the MIDI channel for a part (Right click on part number), but not the keyboard range or note priority mode (low, high). Those might be useful for software setups used live with multi-part keyboard split configurations.

Like even just the simple matter of doing a dump of all the settings over MIDI to SysEx Librarian is so awesome. It reminds me of when I would make backups of a computer so that I could do whatever I wanted without worrying about destroying something important.

So you got the Banksy room?

If you go with a Mac, consider not getting a Mac Studio because I heard that the M2 Max or M2 Ultra processor is the same processor as an M2 Pro, but with additional features that a DAW won't use (video editing).
