About me:
I'm Jay, #GenX, #coffee-fueled, and wired for story. If you're into adventure games, long walks through dystopia, or philosophy with a punchline, we’ll get along fine. ☕📚🎮 Follow for writing updates, #gamer thoughts, and the occasional rant about reality.
Temps swinging –21 to a balmy zero, and now FIFA thinks it hands out “peace prizes”, giving the first one to Trump. So, straight to parody. Add drones swarming an Irish airport before Zelenskyy lands (no news?) and, yeah… I need a coffee strong enough to reboot the universe. ☕️📖 Book link in bio.

Light snow feels calmer than the headlines. Alberta’s UPC is eating itself, U.S. is… the U.S., and I genuinely worry for FIFA and Olympic athletes/families heading there. I outlined 10 chapters this weekend, this morning? I need industrial-strength coffee. ☕️📖 My recent book?Hits hard. Link in bio.

Good morning! Coffee’s on, the words are finally behaving, and I’m cracking open a dusty 2017 manuscript while Simulacrum sits with the beta readers. Yeah, I’m double-fisting projects, time to resurrect this one. And Pejorative? Still the most relevant read this year. ☕️📖 Link in bio. #booksky

Morning folks. Snow’s coming down like a timeline cleanse, quiet, clean, briefly sane. Coffee’s hot, edits are calling, and someone out there is reading Pejorative, so my day’s already better.
And folks: if you hear “remigration,” that’s a racist dog whistle. Full stop (the DHS used it BTW). ☕️📖

Tell me you’re an indie author without telling me…
Who else walks through the bookstore hitting all the kiosks and leaving their own title pulled up?

The U.S. ambASSador says Canadians should “stay out of U.S. business,” then Rubio tells American diplomats to lean on Canada and allies to restrict immigration and report if we don’t comply.
Please tell Rubio to shove it, stay out of our business and take your ambASSador back, we don’t need him.

Snow’s piling up, streets are quiet, and even the train tapped out. Coffee’s strong, edits for Simulacrum lined up, and the circus south of us can keep spinning on its own. Focus on what you can shape. ☕️📖 Curl up with my book - link in bio.

Was downtown yesterday. Cold front hit like a cliff dive. Ten to 0 in hours and now snow’s loading up. I’m back in the basement lab with coffee and the dog, riding it out like a side-quest. Weather chaos still beats the political kind. ☕️❄️ Oh, and you very much should by my book. Link in the bio.

Another 12-hour haul in the books, son dropped off, Xmas packages sent off to Stn Forces with that sketchy address format we all pretend to understand. Now it’s me, a train, and an hour to breathe. Coffee says settle. Fiction whispers: keep going. ☕️📖 Oh, buy my book 📕 link in the bio.

X is crawling with “American” accounts broadcasting from everywhere but America. Funny how MAGA has no outrage for foreign outrage farms, they’re too busy retweeting them.
I warned about this in my book Pejorative: influence doesn’t invade… it seeps. ☕️📖 Check the link in my bio. #coffee #morning

Who else needs to focus? Drifted from editing Simulacrum into tinkering with cover designs, classic writer brain doing parkour before coffee even kicks in. Stoic me says “return to the work.”
Pejorative is out loud and relevant. If you haven’t grabbed it yet, links in my bio. ☕📖 #booksky

Morning. Strong brew, weak takes. If Grok can’t remember PM Carney, maybe don’t trust JFK on pandemics. You can’t “wellness” your way through a virus. Stoic truth: readiness beats fantasy. ☕
Read my book 📚, it'll help. Link in Bio.

My coffee’s bitter, but Alberta’s WTF. You’ve got a Recall Act, USE IT. This month of all months, when Trans folks need solidarity not stunts, This is not Canada. I can only lend support from here and keep writing the warnings. Some days, fiction feels saner than the news. Alberta? ☕️📖🏳️‍⚧️

Budget’s through and everyone can breathe again. Last night felt like playoff overtime, minus the beer ads. Now we get to see whether politicians act like adults or toddlers with talking points.
I’m diving back into Simulacrum today.
Grab Pejorative for the holidays. Link in bio.☕️📖

Budget vote day. Are we carrying on or heading for a holiday redo? Alberta’s leaders are off in la-la land and now Québec’s political class wants to reboot the separatist saga. Really?
Let me have my coffee. I’ll hold the door. Vote these people out, they are out of touch.

FFS Really, Manitoba? Booing the one person keeping the wheels on during a global mess? Didn’t have you pegged for Maple-MAGA auditions, but here we are.

Good morning all. Cold’s back, snow on the way, and I’m up early with coffee and the Alberta insurgency paper I just wrapped. Editing the WIP while the house sleeps, this one’s getting sharp. If you need something to read while you wait for Simulacrum, grab my current novel. Links in my Bio. ☕📖

Alberta’s sovereignty movement has shifted from slogans to legislation. The risks to Canada’s democratic stability are real.

I break down the strategy, influence networks, and insurrectionary tactics behind the Free Alberta Strategy and APP’s plan.

Stepped in it yesterday. Happens. Now I’m shovelling popcorn while the U.S. does its usual self-immolation. Waiting for the sparks to reach north. At least my book is finally everywhere, perfect timing for holiday escapism. Link in Bio.☕📚

Short week after Remembrance Day and a few speaking gigs. Caught a sunrise that reminded me to meet the day with some light. Hope yours breaks through too.

Pejorative is now in wide distribution, perfect timing for the holidays. Link in bio. Just look at that sunrise!

What a couple of days, first time I’ve read 400 pages of a budget like it was a thriller (still reading).
Coffee’s on, tires swapped, weekend lesson plans ready, Simulacrum moving forward.
But don’t sleep on Pejorative, it’s how US–Canada tension really unravels.
☕📖 Link in bio. Buy my book. ;-)

ohhhhh. Excited, I have some bookmarks coming in to hand out with my books. Thoughts? Do others have bookmarks they hand out? What do they look like?

My wife makes the best cabbage borscht this side of Ukraine
Perfect lunch for a fall day while we all wait for the budget.
November 4, 2025 at 6:23 PM
Up before 5, thanks to the time change. Coffee at jet-fuel levels. Editing Simulacrum like a sleep-deprived beast while Canada braces for the budget drop.

Who else is still adjusting? ☕📖

Hey, all just doing a pulse check.
Had zero interactions in the last week.
Trying to gage engagement and see if I'm hitting it. Looking to hook up with more Canadians too. We have a lot to watch and discuss. Give me a "Hi" if you are seeing my posts. 👋
