Thank goodness Christmas is over!

Okay so the countdown to Christmas begins!

Todays working music has a slightly festive theme.

Magne Furuholmen, White Xmas Lies. Might as well get in the mood!

Today's working music (and only a few hours working cause of the heat) is Men at Work. Great Australian band. The 80's were the best.

Today's working music is the always awesome Tears for Fears. Previously I only had the greatest hits and the amazing Tipping point, so decided to get this to fill in some music gaps. #writing #gamedev #indiedev

Tonights working music is an album from 1973 - Pink Floyd - the Dark Side of the Moon...considered one of the best ever albums created (I personally prefer the division bell - dont shout at me!). Time is such a sad and relatable song. Where did the time go!

There has been a lot of discourse about game prices, but I am happy to pay a reasonable price for a game that has good content... but really worried about Mafia at the moment. Really excited for the game but that price should be higher.

Decided to do a bit of writing, so working music tonight is the awesome, Depeche Mode - Songs of Faith and Devotion. Takes me back to a different time, makes me feel old!

Today's working music is a greatest hits album that I listened to a lot back in the day. Fleetwood Mac, for me though it was Tango in the Night that made me aware of them, I got the greatest hits a few years later. A lifetime ago.

Today's working music is Paul McCartney's first album after the Beatles, titled McCartney. Not a bad album, with the hit Maybe I'm Amazed, but for me it's Every Night which is the hit on the record. Especially as the guitar reminds me a bit of Diablo (game). Album from 1970.

Don't care much for the current discourse on AssassinsCreed Shadows, but wow does this really annoy me on the disk copy of the game:

Though #Clickteam #Fusion #Gamedev engine could do with updating, I still use it for fast prototyping, it's still so much easier and better than most other 2D game engines. #indiedev

Decided to also buy Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band as well, OMG, She's leaving home, what a classic, never heard it before. #thebeatles #music #listening
March 16, 2025 at 7:13 PM
Todays working music is #TheBeatles - I've listened to their music for such a long time, but finally started to get their albums and some of the songs not on collection albums (that I had) are amazing.

Today's working music is the two stellar albums from Black. Very interesting albums. Mega successful song "Wonderful Life" obvious standout but other great often missed tunes to enjoy. Unfortunately Vearncombe died from a car crash in 2016.

Welcome to 2025, glad that year and Xmas is all over.... the countdown to Christmas begins! 😂

As I am getting older I've decided to do what most men of my age do and that is get into model soldiers and painting. Wow I never knew it was so complicated and more importantly expensive. Cant believe I've just spent £200 on paints 🤣

Today's working music is the wonderful 1984 album, It's my life from Talk Talk.

Last month got a tax rebate, but this month got a tax bill from some tax benefit I got a couple of years ago. Now depressed.

Tax man giveth and tax man takes away.

Still recovering from the storm 1w ago. Purchased a hand chainsaw, my eldest son was worried I might injure myself so watched me use it. This fallen tree in my garden has pretty much destroyed my garden. Not that it was in a great state anyway. No idea how I will get rid of it.
December 15, 2024 at 1:11 PM
Today's music purchase is an extended album from #Clannad - 40th anniversary edition of Robin of Sherwood. Cant believe it's been 40 years.

Storm Watch / Fence Panel Watch / Tree watch, next door neighbours opposite fences have gone. My left side is still holding out, but not sure how much longer it will stay standing. The wind is getting more constant right now and no sign of letting up. Wind is staying until tomorrow. #StormDarragh
December 7, 2024 at 2:53 PM
The first casualty of storm is innocent "fence panels". Lost a tree (thanks storm I wanted to get rid of it at some point) and a single fence panel. The opposite fence panel is looking a bit dodgy, and we have two days of this.

You know it’s nearly Christmas when the retro annuals arrive. Crash and ZZAP 64. #Retro

Time to go for a run, two days in a row, what could possibly go wrong 🤣 - today I am trying the horrible fast run, don't like these at all, but will give it a go. #running #run #tempo #hobby.
