😜 Big bang of creative juice and pandemonium
Knocked out 1200 words on my WIP today. Feudal Japan era weird fiction about a samurai facing off against a demon. I consider it a win if I can get 500 polished words written in a day, so I'm feeling pretty good about this. 👹

Good morning. I'm not a morning person.

Sorry, this one's a little gross. 🤷

Who has two thumbs and wrote 1,300 words of weird fiction tonight? This guy!

Here's an update on my projects.
Cosmic horror. Feudal Japan. A real childhood accident that mutated into a story about a man's crumbling identity. Film fest news. Thoughts on gratitude, TikTok, and life, bro!
If you have a minute, I’d love for you to check it.

What are your favorite book titles, regardless of how the story turned out? A few that spring to mind for me are:

1. The Stars My Destination - Alfred Bester
2. Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates - Tom Robbins
3. As She Climbed Across the Table - Jonathan Lethem

Maybe I just like long titles?

This does not bode well for my retelling of Moby Dick from the whale's point of view.

Wicked: For Good is a whole movie's worth of second-act problems
Wicked: For Good continues the 2024 smash and runs into a problem: Apparently, the first act of Wicked is way better than the second.

🚨 My movie, The Fawn, won 2nd place at The Screaming Mad Film Festival! I'm grateful to have been a part of it. 🦌

It's free right now to anyone who subscribes to my Substack. I'm trying to build a creative community there and I'd love to hear some feedback. 🙏

Working on the next short story for my upcoming collection, and I think the idea just morphed into a novel. Kinda cool when that happens!

It's Sunday morning and I could sleep in a little. My brain at 6:00 a.m.:

I saw this posted in another group. A lot of people seem to believe his thought is invalid since he's so successful. I guess they didn't read On Writing.

Writing at the library is interesting. I will sit here and struggle with my words for hours, then look up at the thousands of books on the shelves. The amount of human intention and effort is staggering. 🤯
