First paper since the new job. I tried to reinterpret robustness guarantees as inference-time privacy, by demonstrating sensitive-attribute inference interval expansion and mitigation against model inversion attacks.

Week 9 of job hunting: One interview this week, for a privacy research position (not the one I mentioned earlier, I’m still waiting for the 3rd round technical interview on that one...).

I’ve been notified that I passed this week’s interview and will have the second round next week.

Week 8 of job hunting: No interviews this week, as part of the week included the Labor Day public holiday.

Since many interviews I've had start with the question "What do you know about LLMs?", I’ve been reading LLM materials recently.

Week 7 of job hunting: 3 interviews this week.

One of them is the 2nd tech interview of a privacy research position. I think I have passed it, but then I know the position requires passing 5 interviews (3 tech + 1 manager + 1 HR). Hope all goes well.

Week 6 of job hunting: Five interviews this week. I’ve lined up one for next week.

There was one position I passed two tech interviews but didn’t make it through the final HR round. Although I knew I wouldn’t take it — due to the hysterical tech manager — it still doesn’t feel great to be rejected.

Week 5 of job hunting: Three interviews this week.

It’s clear that I’ve passed one of them — the first round for a recommender system position. The outcomes of the other two are unclear for now.

I feel I’m getting better at interviewing. I’ve lined up two more interviews for next week.

Week 4 of job hunting: One interview this week, and one was cancelled.

The interview I had was for an excellent research position at a very good company—but I feel I didn’t manage to seize the opportunity. 😑

I’ve lined up three interviews for next week and will try to prepare better. 🫡

Week 3 of job hunting: 2 interviews this week, I’ve also lined up two for next week, also missed some opportunities.

Week 2 of job hunting: no interviews this week, but I’ve lined up two for next week. I’ve also submitted my resume to around 50 companies

First week of job searching — ended with one interview. Not sure what the outcome will be, but I guess it's a start.
