Electric prices in NJ and I'm sure most of the country are getting out of control and home solar is making more and more sense everyday. Some people are paying 30+ cents per KWh now in NJ which is insane. The grid being where all the infrastructure goes makes sense,

Not pure electric vs heat pump because they both use electricity. Cop > 1 means it's still cheaper to run the heat pump than pure electric. Gas does matter by location but usually you need a cop > 3 for a heat pump to beat it.

VS gas yes but vs electric, they are still saving you money. And depending on your location, if 0 or below is rare you're probably not missing much savings from having gas backup.

No, heat pumps can work below 0 with a cop > 1 still. Some all the way down to -20

Might as well just replace the whole store with a few kiosks that let you just order online at that point. At least the store wouldn't have as much of a footprint and people with limited access could still get stuff.

The end of the Xbox 360 era felt like that too. So many people left for Playstation or didn't buy a new console for years. Was unique to that generation of consoles I feel. Since cross platform (and cross Gen) wasn't really a thing yet but online play was.
