I think that's the catch with these tools for writing. It is fast and convenient and saves a lot of mental effort, but over an extended period I would worry about degraded thinking and quality. But there are some situations/use cases where it might be ok to just pump out mediocre stuff.

Plus recently I've been trying to write German every day, as its great way to get better as its so concrete and forces you to think in German. I was lazy the few years and used Google Translate as its so convenient and my German really atrophied as a result.

The writing is thinking v AI debate is pretty interesting. At work, we write design document partly to think through problems and solutions. I've seen a few docs recently that look AI generated. They superficially look ok but on closer reading are not very good. Make a sham of the whole process.

The abundant supply of potatoes certainly makes it feel like home. 😂

It took a few hundred years for Germany to even agree on a common name for potato, so even more words combinations are possible

I tried a sample of the chocolate version when I bought this one and it was sort of nice but a bit too much.

Saw Ocra, an old Jaws rip off recently. Its a really enjoyable bad movie. Lots of whale footage and Richard Harris getting his arse kicked by a whale. Its set in Newfoundland too! m.imdb.com/de/title/tt0...

Its called The Quiet Girl www.imdb.com/title/tt1510... - really reminded me of being a kid and the strangeness of visiting relatives houses. I read and liked Small Things Like These but haven't seen the film version yet 🙂.
