+1 for Deezer from me - I've been using it since the pandemic and I believe they pay above average to artists. Its algorithm is also very good.

I watched a cute/silly little French film called Flashback the other day. I'd always assumed that France had been progressive on women's rights, due to being generally super-cool and liberal and sexy (in my mind), and was shocked to discover women didn't get the vote until 1945!

I just renewed my passport online. Was dreading it but it was super smooth and quick. Not all services are falling over!
Has anyone renewed their UK passport recently?
They turned mine around in less than two weeks, and that included a delay because my selfie wasn't up to scratch apparently. Speedy, easy, great communications throughout.

Yes it's not remotely comparable.
That said, I think there's a grey area where a state is facing destabilising threats from an outside actor - like a cyberattack or the kind of acts of sabotage by Russia (undersea cables, Poland etc). Would these provide a legal basis for a military response?

Ah ok - yeah I use Deezer and same thing happened I think. I guess streaming platforms would prefer people stick to their internal systems rather than proactively give Last.fm access.
