He follows lines of thought the way my parents, both seven years older than him, do. He grabs something like Somalians, Minnesota, and follows it, without really knowing that it has nothing to do with the shooting in Washington. I love my parents dearly but neither is fit for a low-level job now.

Killed by a hit and run driver (some say by the security services) very close to Leyton station in 1981.

The Field Mice are high on the list of bands I wish I'd seen.

Brilliant stuff.

Think they were recording The Bends at the Manor, just north of Kiddy, when I used to see Thom.

I love the earlier Chicago period stuff and this is my fave from then:

Also the later Philly stuff. The New York period is more to be admired than liked :)

I've never seen any of them although I did often pass Thom Yorke in the street in early '90s Oxford.

I saw Nirvana at Reading in '91 and '92 and quite possibly MC4 at Reading '92 too.

Too young for that but they still rocked in '92.

I was 17 and a big fan when the Beehive tour happened. Loved that album. Young and skint.

How was Talib Kweli?

Seem the Cocteaus but DAMN I wish I'd once seen Sylvian.

I once tried listening to all the Sun Ra albums in chronological order but haven't finished yet.

Early Spiritualized and Ride were better. Then there's 11th April 1992 when I saw JAMC, Cocteaus, Blur and Dinosaur Jr together on the Rollercoaster tour at Brixton Academy. No memory of Blur that night but a couple of months later at Glasters they were a knockout. 6 more there 😉. But little since.

I'm afraid I saw them too late and they were (Wolverhampton, 1992). They were wonderful earlier judging from the footage but not after 1990.

Gregory too I wish I'd seen x
