Today's a special day amid these hard times – it's my son's birthday. We can't celebrate like we used to, but we're together, and that's what matters. Made a small cake from what we had; his smile was worth everything. Happy Birthday, buddy. You're my little hero.

Today was tough. We found a 4-year-old girl, Rose. She lost her mom. There was no way we could leave her behind, so she's with us now. We're getting closer to Alameda, the glow from it is hard to miss now. Hopefully, we're almost there.

Encountered a roadblock. You can hear the stories of the #Nephilim, but until you see one lift and throw tipped over semi trailers like they are sorting dirty laundry, you won’t understand.

Slowing our pace today. The children are exhausted, and we need to take care of their well-being.

Running low on power for our gadgets. Haven’t encountered any Machina in a bit to charge. The last few we found were sabotaged. Idiots.

Had a close call today and had to hide for a few hours. Everyone's shaken but safe. Thank you to the National Guard guys. Nephilim are impressive, but you guys do what you do knowing full well you can actually die. #heroes

Met another family on a similar path. There's safety in numbers, but also risks, so we're maintaining a cautious distance. Had a good meal together, though.

Heard unsettling noises last night. Stayed on high alert, but it turned out to be just wildlife. I can't even fathom how massive those platforms have to be if we can see them that clearly from space.

Following railway tracks for a more direct route to our destination, despite the risks involved. If you are actively trying to disrupt what the Nephilim are repairing, I really hope you understand the damage you are doing.

Saw a beautiful sunrise today. It's moments like this that remind us of the beauty still left in the world. #Thankful

Managed to find some canned food in an abandoned store. It's not a feast, but it'll keep us going. The last food that that hunter we encountered lasted a lot less than we thought it would. Why do I keep posting these?

The cold nights are challenging. We're doing our best to keep the family warm while staying hidden.

Found a water production Machina. First clean water we’ve had in weeks. These small wins are crucial for survival. Stocking up as much as we can.

Encountered a blocked route today. Relying on local knowledge and instincts now as maps aren't reliable anymore. Looks like someone intentionally placed it, but we can't figure out why.

The baby's first road trip is a challenge with regular stops for care, but we're managing. Saw our first Nephilim up close today. She gave us all a medical once over, found Elly has a genetic abnormality that was thankfully repaired.

Traveling by night seems safer. Less visibility means less attention. The kids are asleep as we make our way cautiously.

Starting our journey to Alameda Naval Base. The roads are uncertain, but we can't stay put. Keeping the family safe is the priority.

Just linked up with a few survivors heading out of the danger zone. We're avoiding the roads – they're a no-go, way too risky. Tip for everyone out there: stay in small groups. These creatures pick up on larger crowds faster. Stay under the radar, stay alive.

Just got home and saw the news - portals in the Pacific sky, demons emerging. This isn't a drill. Saw one up close while getting my son inside. They're real. Everyone, be alert. Noticed something crucial: they recoil from salt. Spread the word, it might save lives.

It's a world-changing day for us – literally and figuratively! Welcoming our newest family member. Everyone's healthy and happy. Elhaym Maria weighs 6 lbs., 7 ozs. Feeling a mix of exhaustion and exhilaration. Life just got even more precious. Mom's doing great!

Countdown to the due date. It's like waiting for the most important delivery of my life, not knowing if Amazon is gonna miss my stop.

Packing the hospital bag. Feels like we're preparing for a very special vacation. Ned packed his own. It consists of some happy snacks, a pack of shoelaces, and measuring cup. Far from me to judge his genius. I don't even have one.

Nesting mode is real. My wife rearranged the living room three times today. Still don't have a nest though.
May 16, 2025 at 10:23 PM
Just installed the baby car seat. It took two hours, four manuals, and a call to my neighbors. How many idiots does it take to install a car seat? All of them, as it turns out.

The baby bump is officially in the way of seeing her feet. My wife finds it hilarious. In case she misses hers, I let her borrow mine when we're on the couch and now she's calling me stinky.
