Today was tough. We found a 4-year-old girl, Rose. She lost her mom. There was no way we could leave her behind, so she's with us now. We're getting closer to Alameda, the glow from it is hard to miss now. Hopefully, we're almost there.

Had a close call today and had to hide for a few hours. Everyone's shaken but safe. Thank you to the National Guard guys. Nephilim are impressive, but you guys do what you do knowing full well you can actually die. #heroes

Met another family on a similar path. There's safety in numbers, but also risks, so we're maintaining a cautious distance. Had a good meal together, though.

Heard unsettling noises last night. Stayed on high alert, but it turned out to be just wildlife. I can't even fathom how massive those platforms have to be if we can see them that clearly from space.

Following railway tracks for a more direct route to our destination, despite the risks involved. If you are actively trying to disrupt what the Nephilim are repairing, I really hope you understand the damage you are doing.

Managed to find some canned food in an abandoned store. It's not a feast, but it'll keep us going. The last food that that hunter we encountered lasted a lot less than we thought it would. Why do I keep posting these?

The baby's first road trip is a challenge with regular stops for care, but we're managing. Saw our first Nephilim up close today. She gave us all a medical once over, found Elly has a genetic abnormality that was thankfully repaired.

The baby bump is officially in the way of seeing her feet. My wife finds it hilarious. In case she misses hers, I let her borrow mine when we're on the couch and now she's calling me stinky.
