Pinning posts is a thing now, so new intro!

I'm Jason! I've been in the gaming industry for 20+ years, at places like 2K, Bethesda, and currently Gearbox. I worked on many games you may have played. I also freelance for The Comics Journal.

I post complete nonsense here, and quite frequently, pie.
Sigh.

Guess I'm going back to clock radios.

I don't love The Studio - the humor is a bit broad, and the satire a bit too on the nose - but this was pretty great.

Watched Sinners for the second time today. It definitely loses a bit on the small screen, but it's just so damn good.

And no joke, I want a stage musical adaptation. Broadway needs sexy musical vampires. Let's do it.

O terrifying lords of the newborn year, I come before you with my first offering of this new era: a Grasshopper Pie.

May its booze-soaked combination of chocolate and mint be worthy of your approval.

NO. NO. NO. NO. NO.

Ordering from your phone means using your phone during the movie. You cannot have one without the other.

This is so awful.

Gmail has informed me that I'm out of storage, so I have a month to either subscribe or stop receiving email.

The thing is...Gmail kinda sucks? Does anyone use Proton Mail? If I'm gonna pay, I might as well use something that's been updated with something other than AI slop in the last decade.

I can confirm it does! Or at least, Montgomery County does. I can also confirm it is absolutely terrible.

And I say this not as some New York-born pizza snob, but as a human being who enjoys things that taste good.

My Switch 2 arrived! I did get Donkey Kong (which seems okay?) but the game I'm most interested in playing is...Breath of the Wild, a game I first played through on WiiU, then Switch 1.

The new features seem fine. Mostly it's the resolution and framerate that are exciting.

I was planning to bake a pie tonight for my wife's birthday tomorrow, but our cooktop stopped working. Repairman is coming this week, but I was all geared up and ready to go for a pie!

A little poem to start off the new year.

Be nice to your producers today especially. They're remembering what was going on and facing the dread of having to actually circle back.

Good thread!

Steam as a platform RUNS on wishlists and reviews. If a game looks cool, do the dev a favor and wishlist it. If you liked it, review it. These are SO important.
Why do #gamedevs always ask for you to wishlist their game?

It's not about vanity metrics. Wishlists can save or doom a game. I'll explain a bit more in this thread! ⬇️

I dunno if there's any truth to the rumor that a new Witcher 3 expansion is coming, but if there IS, it immediately jumps to the top of the games I'm most looking forward to this year.

(And that's despite my opinion that the end of Blood & Wine is an absolutely perfect close to Geralt's story).

My 2026 started by discovering the power strip on my pinball cabinet died. Not the end of the world, but it's a major pain to replace.

Starting this year right, I guess.
