Game 1 for the year is dead space remake. From having gone through the original version not too long ago I can say they really made some improvements to this one, mainly the zero g sections. Dunno if I’ll go for the platinum with the impossible run being the only thing left

1. Accomplished which really made my day getting that one knocked out
2. Started persona 2 deadly sin but only played an hourish so far
3. Started on berseria at the very end of the year
4. Fell off of it once I found out about the remake
5. Got sucked back into WoW and ESO so that did t happen

1. Finally finish xenogears, been on my backlog for 25 years now
2. Finally play a persona game, but no idea which one.
3. Knock out either tales of arise or berseria
4. Finish dragon quest 7 on the 3ds, if I can find my charging cable for it
5. Get up to 200 platinums

Game 21 for the year and platinum 191 is daxter for the psp. Enjoyed it more than I did jak 2 but not as much as the original game. Plus the camera controls in the ps5 gave me some motion sickness.

Game 20 for the year is paper Mario the thousand year door. Always feels great to get a game off of the short list of ones I had gotten to the final boss years ago but never able to beat it list.

Game 19 for the year and platinum 190 is Cthulhu saves Christmas. Short game that gave me some chuckles with all its Christmas related bosses and songs. Never thought I’d hear a dark version of hark hear the bells

Game 18 for the year and platinum 189 is myst. I have no idea how my mom and I got as far as we did way back when this thing came out but I for sure needed a guide for this super vague game. Good lord the piano puzzle was a pain

Game 17 for the year and platinum 188 is suikoden 2 and the hd collection. Still an amazing game after all these years. Somehow messed up and had Nanami die so I got the bummer ending.

Game 16 for the year was artery’s and the jewel of faramore. Probably gonna be the closest I get to playing the old Zelda cdi games since that’s super expensive to get. From what I’ve seen of those games over the years online this game really did try to capture that feeling and did pretty well at it

Platinum 186 ended up being ys after way too many playthroughs. Think I can safely say I don’t want to do another run of that for LONG time from having to do so many. Then finished the day off with game 16 of the year being mega man zero 2. Still get mad seeing x get killed by elpizo

Game 15 for the year is ys oath of felghana. Really glad to play tbis again after many years. Can’t remember if it was this one or the ds version of 1/2 that got me into the series way back when. Hopefully we can see a release of 6 and 7 to ps5 as well some day

Sad day. Glad I got to see his last ozfest and final Black Sabbath concert here in Texas.

Platinum 185 and game 14 for the year is ender lilies. Such a beautiful game! Music, gameplay, tone, definitely not at all what I expected. Felt like an easier hollow knight. Guess the next meteoidvania to work on will be the record of lodoss war one. Heard good things about it from a couple folks

Platinum 184 and game 13 for the year is the horizon zero dawn remaster. What started off as a simple compare and contrast to the original version ended up turning into a full blown playthrough. Simply amazing. Now I can finally start on the sequel that been screaming at me from the backlog

Game 12 for the year is mega man zero. Haven’t beat that game since it came out way back when and it still held up after all this time. Now to go kick elpizo’s butt in the second one

Platinum 183 is tales of xillia. First tales game I’ve gotten a platinum on. Almost makes me want to go and do another play of the second one

Game 11 for the year is xenogears. It only took 25 years and 3 separate playthroughs to finally beat that thing. Really enjoyed disc 1 but disc 2 had me super confused and lost

Game 10 for the year is the suikoden 1 remaster. Been at least 20 years since my last playthrough and still loved every minute of it. Really enjoyed all the new portraits and the world map. Started the second one and so far I can’t tell a difference between it and the original release

Platinum 182 and game 9 for the year is burnout paradise remastered. Liked it well enough but my data corrupted close to the end and I had to essentially play the whole thing twice.

First time making it to disc 2 in xenogears in maybe 24ish years and the switch to just pure narration from gameplay is still just as jarring

It’s so great to see suikoden getting so much love. A new mobile game and an anime adaption of 2?! I was already super happy with 1 and 2 getting remastered, I feel like I’m winning the lottery with all the other stuff

Aw man this one hurts. I grew up watching that show and still quote it regularly. Time to give that series another run through in honor of him and c martin croker being gone now

Game 8 for the year is avengers on the capcom arcade cabinet. Not THE avengers just avengers. Good god that game was janky but at least it was short. At least I’m slowly knocking games off this collection for the non platinum it offers

Game 7 for the year is the thing remastered. My friend and I rented it when it first came out and never beat it. We’d always quote an npc who was always needing more ammo as an inside joke. Wish he was here to see me beat it finally.

Game 6 for the year is double dragon advance. First one of that series I’ve ever beaten and honestly, wasn’t my kind of brawler. At least it was way better than the nes version

Platinum 181 is dark souls 3. And with that the entire trilogy is platinumed!! If you had told me 5 years ago I was going to be able to do this idve laughed in your face. A tiny part of me is saying “you still need to do the first one on ps3…” but I’m dark souls’d out for a while
