New article on racial bias basked into California's death penalty scheme.
- Black defendants are 4.6-8.7 times more likely to get a death sentence, Latin defendants are 3.2-6.2 more likely.
- Prosecutors seek death 1.6-2.3 times more in cases involving white victims.
